Who I Am

Hello!

Hi, I’m Sabrina Harrison, a filmmaker and emerging producer based in New York and New Jersey. I recently graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Cinema and Theatre and spent a semester studying film at FAMU in Prague.

Working across many areas of production has given me a strong understanding of what it takes to move a project from its first idea to the finished product. Producing is where I feel most at home because I love the process of bringing people, ideas, and moving pieces together. Being on set, solving problems as they come up, and watching something that once existed only on paper become real is what draws me to the work.

My background in directing and editing also shapes the way I approach production. It has taught me to think about both the creative goals of a project and the practical decisions needed to achieve them. I’m drawn to character-driven work that feels natural and recognizable, but also enjoy projects that give me the chance to experiment with a different format, style, or way of working.

Most recently, I created, directed, and executive produced Almost Something, a four-episode mini-series made with a crew of more than twenty student filmmakers. Guiding the project through development, sixteen days of production, post-production, and its premiere at the Lyric Theatre confirmed how much I enjoy leading a project through every stage and building something alongside a team.
